Times Infinity connects with LINC Houston
January 21, 2005
Daren Guillory and Terence Tang, Visual and Production Designers for Times Infinity, recently joined forces with Kathy Laurie of Lutheran Inter-City Network Coalition (LINC) to put the finishing touches on an outdoor sign for Comunidad de Gracia, a new community center in the Magnolia Park area that will also serve as a worship center.
Comunidad de Gracia (meaning "Community of Grace" in English) was renovated by LINC Houston from an old church building and is now seeing greater community use than ever before through summer programs, English classes, music classes, Girl Scouts, day camps for children and weekly worship services.
LINC Houston began in May 2001 to create new ministries to reach out to the urban, multi-cultural, and ethnically diverse people in the urban areas of Houston.
"Times Infinity created us a new personality - a new presence in the neighborhood... a joy to work with," says Kathy Laurie, who serves as Program Director for community centers. "The sign was an instant success causing passersby to stop and take interest in what had once been of no consequence to them."
